1920's Gras 201 Architect Lamp
Circa 1922 adjustable Gras 201 architect clamp lamp. Great vintage condition showing some signs of its industrial past, featuring a working on/off paddle switch. Designed in 1921 by Bernard-Albin Gras for industrial and office work, the 201 model quickly became the definitive French architect lamp and was Le Corbusiers lamp of choice for its perfect combination of form and function. Many other architects like Mallet-Stevens or Eileen Gray, as well as famous painters Sonia Delaunay or Georges Braque made this lamp an icon of the 20th century and probably one of the first industrial pieces to become sought after for interior decoration.
Lamp measures 90cm in length (small arm 20cm, long arm 57cm) and the shade is 15cm diameter.
